Structural Steel Formations were appointed to assist Severfield Reeve UK on the detailing of 54 no. structural platforms positioned on the precast terracing to support the roof in its assembly position. Generally the 54 No. lines were in symmetry from East to West. 27 No. platforms were identified as standard units. The only difference being in local geometry such as support spacings and changes in level. The remaining 27 platforms required bespoke design detailing. SSF liaised with SUK contract manager and design engineers to model in and detail the frame works to suit the differing site levels and pre-cast set outs along with the BIM models for the geometry of the cables - each bespoke frame required it's own fabrication and site drawings.
